LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report:— At our Palmerston sale yesterday a medium entry of cattle and a Rood yarding of sheep came forward. There was good demand for ewes, but all classes of inferior sheep wore dull of sale. Mixed-aged ewes, 75.; four and five-year ewes, lis. to lis.. Sd.; two-tooth wethers, lis.; forward wethers, to 13s. 3d.; fat and forward ewes, 10s. 5d.; cull lambs, 3s. to 4s. 2d.; small wether lambs, ss. 3d.; forward cows. £4 65.; empty cows, to £3 75.; light fat cows, to £6 ss.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Itaumai sale held on March 7 we had a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. Sheep, though slightly easier in price, were in good demand, and we have to report a total clearance with the'exception of one small pen. Messrs.' Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their store stock sale at Johnson villa as follows:—A good entry of sheep came forward, over 2000 being yarded. Old ewes were rather slow of sale, but very few were turned out unsold. Good fourtooth wethers, 145.; two-tooth wethers, 10s. 5d.; sound-mouth ewes, 7s. 6d. to Bs. 7d.; bid ewes, ss. to 6s. to 6s. 66..; culls, 4s. to 4s. 6d.; woolly lambs, 6s. 6d. to 7s. 6d.; shorn store lambs; 4s. 6d. to ss. 7d.; fourtooth rams, £2 10s.; full-mouth rams, 31s. to 355.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency ' Co., Ltd. (Palmerston North branch) report as follows:—At Himitangi on Monday we had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Bidding was brisk, and every pen was sold at auction at prices in favour of vendors; At Raumai, on Tuesday, cattle and sheep came forward in fair numbers, and met with a'good sale. At Palmerston. on Thursday, we had a heavy entry of sheep, and a fair yarding bf cattle. Sheep were a shade easier, but a good clearance was effected. Cattle were not inquired for finite so keenly as.at late tales, and several pens were passed. We quote:—At Hiraitangi—Sheep: Cull lambs, 4s. 6d. to ss.
