PROPOSED CO-OPERATIVE CHEESE FACTORY.
AT OTAKI. A meeting of peoplo interested in the establishment of a co-operativo cheese factory at Otaki was held on Saturday, night. Mr. Ci. Harper was elected chairman. After speeches.in favour of the proposal had been made by Messrs. Jones, Bayliss, and Judd, n conimitleo was set «p to iuqnire into details and to obtain, if possible, the nilricc of one of the experts of tho Department of Agriculture. A letter from a former director of the Otaki Co-operative Butter Factory was read, stating that a minimum supply of 600 gallons per day would be required. Tho committee is to canvass tho district as to probable support forthcoming and to report to a meeting which wilj be called as soon as possible.
