PORTFOLIOS REARRANGED.
DURING PREMIER'S ABSENCE. (By Telecraph—Press Association.! Auckland, March 6. In view of the departure ot Sir Joseph ■Ward and Dr. Findlay, the Cabinet portfolios have been rearranged. Tho Hon. J. Carroll, will be ActingPremier, and in addition to his own portfolios \«:ill be- Minister in charge of the Crown Law, Advances to Settlers, Electoral, and National Annuities Departments. Tho Eon. J. Millar takes charge of the Treasury, Friendly Societies, State Guaranteed Advances, and Land and Income Tnx. The Hon. G. Fowlds will take the portfolios of Defence. Justice, Police, Prisons, and Public Health. The Hon. T. Mackenzie, Post and Telegraph, Advertising, and State Forests. Hon. R. M'Kenzie. Customs. Hon. 1). Buddo, Land for Settlement, and Land Settlers Finance.
