-4 A CHARGE OF ASSAULT. By Telegraph-Press AssoclatloD-CoDyrluhi London, March 3. Three men were convicted at the Old Bailey on a charge of grievously assaulting Stevens, the cabman who drove Steiner Morrison (charged with killing a French Jew named Deron at Clapham Common in December last), on the night of the murder. Before committing tho assault the men, it was alleged, questioned Stevens regarding the evidence ho intended giving at tho trial of Morrison. One of the accused was sentenced to two years imprisonment, and the other two to six months' each.
