The admittance of consumptives to the. Kencral wards of hospitals and prisons was deprecated. It was held that separate accommodation should be provided for them. The conference also considered that the State Governments should attend to' the housing and maintenance of the wives and families of necessitous consumptives. (Rcc. March G, '0.20 a.m.) Melbourne, March 5. The consumption conference discussed the questions of bovine tuberculosis, and recommended that the Agricultural Departments be granted legal power to deal with it. The conference also recommended that rooms previously occupied by consumptives be disinfected by Government officials.
