A POSSIBLE CAUSE FOR DELAY. By Tolecraph-Prcss Asserlni jnn-CnnyrlElil London, March 3. Colonel Murray, Lieutenant-Governor of Papua, who has been on a visit to England, has sailed for Australia. In an interview, ho suggested that the coalfields in Papua to be visited by Mr. Staniforth Smith's expedition were possibly larger than had been supposed, and tho absence of means of communication might easily account for the non-return of the unrty. He was not aware of any trouble with the natives.
