4 ALLEGED PRESSURE ON TURKEY. By Tclcsraph—r.-«ss Association—Cocyrlßht. Constantlnopla, March 2. During the Budget debato in the Turkish Assembly, Ismail Bey, an Oppositionist, criticised tho loan transactions of the Minister for Finance. He alleged that Zionism had played an important part in them. Extensive tracts of land had been secured by tho Zionists at Damascus and Haifa, and tho Zionists were creating further difficulties in order to compel the Government to have recourse to them for money. Ho added that Sir Ernest Cassel, tho well-known financier, had played a great role in. tho matter. The Grand Vizier, Hakki Paslia, refuted the allegations, and said Sir Ernest Cassel "was a sincere friend of Turkey.
