THE AUSTRALIAN ADMIRALTY BOARD. By Telegraph—Preus Assnciation—CopyTicUt (Rcc. March 3, 11.40 p.m.) Melbourne, March 3. The Nav-iil Boai\l has been reconstituted, with the Minister for Defence (Senator Pearce) as president. Captain Creswell, the present head of the Australian Fleet; has heen appointed tho First Naval Member, with the rank of Rear-Admiral. He will take charge of the intelligence, ordnance, and fleet services, manoeuvres, gunnery, torpedo exercises, and naval works. Captain Chambers, R.N., is Second Naval Member. Ho will deal with tho personnel and reserves, discipline, and tho stores, victualling and medical services. Engineer Cla'rkson is the Third Naval Member, and will take charge of construction and engineering, ships, and the control of the naval dockyards and bases. Paymaster Manisty will be the Civil Member,- controlling finance, legal questions, and also acting as naval secretary.
