THE CENSUS.
TO BE expedited;
Cabinet decided yesterday not to take tho, census of tho. Dominion together with tho electoral registration.As the outcome of a' full, inquiry, it was found that an 'attcmut to take both together would mean "delay in obtaining -tho census returns. It is important that- they should bo completedby April 2. Greater expedition in obtaining both would be secured by keeping 'them separate. In regard to agri-, cultural statistics, separate forms arij to bo furnished. Tho electoral register cannot bo completed until the 'boundaries of tho various electoral, districts liavo been fixed, and that"is'dependent" upon the completion of tho census returns upon which the Representation Commissioners' report- is compiled.
