BOWLS.

At the Wellington Club's green yesterday two keenly-contested games' wero played between the two Ilutt and two Wellington rinks which recently met in contest at Wanganui for tho Duthie Cup, won on that occasion by tho Wellington Club's representatives. Tho Wellington Club's rinks were Price, Wylie, Veitch, F Laurenson, (s.). and T. Bush, Knapp, Hamilton, and Moult. The llutt men were:—Eadic, Johnson, Trcvethick, Stevens (s.), and Jones, , Hollard, and llendry. In tho first game Laurenson was matched against Hendry, the latter winning by (lie narrow majority of ono point. Moult more than equalised matters for Wellington by finishing 5 up. In the second round Laurenson was 5 up and Moult 7 up, which made Wellington the winners on the day by 1G points. A pleasant littlo gathering was held in tho pavilion, when tho donor of the cup, Mr. John Duthie, was fittingly honoured. Among those present wero Mr. (J. Allport, president of the Hutt Club, and Mr. Oallender.
