THE COMING CAMPAIGN,

With reference to the active steps that the Farmers' Political Protection party intend; taking in Canterbury, and the campaign to bo inaugurated shortly by Mr. David Jones, the party's organiser, a _ conference is to be held shortly in Wellington between the Dominion executive of tho Farmers' Union and representatives of the party and Mr. Jones. Tho purpose of tho conference is to arrive at a uniform basis on which the party's campaign throughout the. Dominion will be conducted. Tho proposed platform of the party will also be discussed.
