STATE COAL MINE.
• NEW SOUTH WALES PROJECT. By Tolecraph-Pross Assoclalion-Copyrisht. (Rec. February 28, 11.10 p.m.) Sydney, February 28, The State Government is considering the, report of tho Government mining experts on' the proposal to shirt a State coal mine near Lithgow. Tho site is on Crown lands, and judging by the report, tho Minister for Mines, Mr. Edden, believes that boring will discover a good payable seam. The Minister declared he had no misgivings in starling a State mine. If such a policy did not stop strikes it would not encourage nor prolong (hem by sheer stubbornness, ns had often been the case with private enterprise.
