Simmons, tho unsuccessful candidate for St George's in tho East in January last against tho newspaper company "Liberal Opinion," Ltd,, should pay its own costs, and ordered Mr. Dunn, defendants' solicitor, to pay plaintiffs costs, loss/JCISO. The'"Daily Clironiclo's" appeal against the decision that it must pay Mr. Simmons .£SOOO damages for libel, was set' tied privately. The terms have not been divulged.
