FIRE ALARMS.

HELPING SUBURBAN BRIGADES. At the meeting of tlio City Council Inst evening, Councillor Hindmarsh moved: "That tlio fire alarms conneclcd with tho Adelaide Rood Fire Station bo forthwith installed in the private houses .of seven firemen who wore members of the Island Bay Volunteer Tire Brigade." Councillor Trevor, chairman of the committee, stated that it was considering tho matter of expending .C4O or .CSD in improving tlie facilities of tho Island Bay brigade,,.
