The assisted passengers numbered 158, including 29 children; 71 of.theremainder have been nominated by relatives in the Dominion, while no fewer than 17 wives are coming out to join husbands who, pioneer-like, went before to prepare the way. Prom Wellington, this addition to the population will be distributed all over the Dominion; 123 remain in the capital; 137 go north to Aucldand; 19 are'bound tor Napier; 10 for Oisborue, 49 for Lyttelton, 31 for Dnnedin," 32 for the Bluff, 32 for Westport, 2 for Nelson, 5 for Wunganui, 8 for New Plymouth, 22 for Gieymouth, 7 for Timnru, and 11 for Oafnaru. '-.-.. Fifty-ono of them have come out ns domestic servants,' but they are all "booked," and the domestic servant problem is still far from being solved to the satisfaction of troubled housewives.
