CI.L'B MATCHES. ' ■ The Petone and Uriper Hutt Rifle Clubs fired their annual match on Saturday, ; at Waiwetu Range, the Upper Hutt team winning by ID points. CONFERENCE. OF RIFLE CLUBS. In a circular litter, addressed to riflo clubs throughout New Zealand, the president of the Karori Rifle Club (llr7 H. Marshall) states that permission has been granted for the.holding of a conference of rifte blub officials, to take place at Trentham next month, during the course Of the Dominion Riflo Association's meeting. The object of the conference is to improve , the clubs and to secure uni-, formity as far as possible, thus placing clubs on a better footing. Those are suggested is topics for discussionl. The adoption of>a standard set of rules. - 2..A similar .set of officers for all . clubs. 3. The question of all clubs going into the same "class 6f Uniform. It is further suggested'that clubs interested should meet at oiice, and 'Any proposals, duly put in the shape of a resolution, forwarded through a "representative at the conference. If a club is not expected to be represented at the rifle meeting, it is asked to forward promptly, by letter, its opinion of the idea, and any proposals the club makes. The twelfth annual rifle meeting of the Kiwitea Rifle Association has been held on-the Manchester Rifles' Feilding ranee. Thero was an increase in tho i number of entries, thus enabling the management to pay out in full. Competitors wore preson't from the Onaki, Rangitikei, Sandon, To Kapua. and Linton Rifle Clubs, and from the Nelson Rifles, in addition to the local and district clubs. Sorgt. Frank, of the Nelson Rifles, who is spending* a holiday in the district, waS present, and succeeded in annexing the association's belt nnd cold medal.
