SOUTH WAIRARAPA TROTTING CLUB.
(From Our Special Corresiioc'cnt.) 'The annual'meeting of tho South air " a P a ' Trotting Club' was held on Iliursday night, Mr. C. J Heard being in tho chair. Tho report and balance-shcet showed the club in a satisfactory position, notwithstanding tho largo expense in putting tho track in repair. The following officers were elected:—-President, Dr.-Hey; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. R. '■ Nicol, Frank hempton, H. Humphries, H. Mori son, W. U. Buchanan, M.P., AY. A. Grace T • Thos - Grace, N. Adamson Iraia lo (Jhaito; judge, Mr. H. Morison: clerk of scales, Mr. H. Waldenolerk of course, Mr. Wm. York: handicapper, Mr. J. H. Pollock; timckeopers, Messrs. -J. R-. Nicol and J. Robertson auditor, Mr. C. W. Henry; : treasurer, Mr. C. J. Board, Mr. J. Robertson having 'resigned; stewards, Messrs.- C. J. Beard, O. "W. Henry,'S. Poison, E. J- Ra'son; C, G. Williams, J. Cross, ■«. A\. Bicknell, A. M'Phee, and J. Robertson; Protest Committee, Messrs H, .Adanison, E, J. Raisoii, J. R. Nicol and A. M'Phee. Tho stewards wore allowed £300 stake money, to allocate at their .discretion." Tho auditor's fee was fixed at ono guinea. _ At tho special meeting it was resolved to register tho club unaertho Unclassified Societies' Registration Act, and a committee, consisting of Messrs. Beard, Maxton, Cross, Henry, and the secretary, sot up to draw up rules and submit them to another meeting. Tho stewards held a short meetinc, and elected Mr. C. J. Beard thouchairman tisain.
