Galloway", T; Edwards, Ji Whiteman, and M. W.. Welch. . It was resolved to • call for tenders for 40 chains- of fencing adjoining. Mr. C. Gray's properly at Plimmtrtou: A petition from tho ratepayers of tho Horokiwit and Slungaroa Sidings , asked that tha council initiate tho necoWry Mnnalties; for the raising of ?. loan for road and ;bridgo construction 'in :cohhection withlopcni|ig up through communication ; between the Upper Hutt and Paho.iitan'ui. After discussion it ; was agreed, as'-a preliminary stejiV that a'-dele-pation consisting of- Councillors • Weloh, Whiteman, Galloway,' and, Edwards should confer with fhe Upper,Hutt..Tpwn-Bcird oh the question of treating ,i special rating area in connection 'with ;.*tlio security for the loan.' ,-' , ■ !'. .v.; •'!'■• ■ An intimation from the ..Government sot forth that rag-wort had now been declared a noxious weed-throughout the Dominion. Previously, rag-wort was deemed to be 5 noxious weed only in such 'nrras'as had been proclaimed !:y tlio local bodies concerned. ,•■'. •V^: Tho council resolved that tenders bo called' for construction works on the.
