Garden Party. A Yachting Picnic , Tho weather that has been prevailing for tho last two nights has been responsible for the holding of various boating and vachting parties With a calm se% and a moonlight night, it would seem as though very little else (!Ould bo desired, I save, perhaps, a Htilo wind.- : On Monday evening a yachting picnio was held at Shellej Baj, somo ot those taking part in it being Miss Brewer, Mr & and Miss Howard, Mr. R and Miss E. Giny, Miss Blake 'ei, the Messr- Ilaybiltlo (2), MiM' Wilberioss, ili«s K Hunt, and others. Mr and Mrs and Mj c s Richard<-nn have returned from a visit to Duucdin. Miss Luckie sails for England within the next fortnight. Mr« J King left Wellington for Mis terton yesterday, and will '.attend the show.
