SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNICS.
The annual Sunday School picnic of St. Thomas's Church,-Wellington South, \vas held at.Maidstono Park, Upner Hutt, on Saturday last, when about 300 children, with' parents, teachers, nnd friends hnd a most plensont outing. . The Railway Department put on a special train from To Aro, nnd tho stationmaster (Mr. Reynolds) gave every facility nnd kind attention both to" the donartufo and roturnof the largo party. T. The Trnmwny Department nlso kindly put on a special car to and from the station. At Maidstone Park;•■Mγ." and Mrs.' Davis (proprietors) had, everything- in readiness, Their hot-water arrangements were excellent, and n number of swings of various .kinds were provided. Tho surroundings were ideal for such nn outing, there being plenty, of shelter trees, whilo ramblers found- many pleasant walks and blackberries. -Tho children had plenty of amusement, niul the vurious rates wero eagerly contested, and a very hapny tiny was spent.......This.vicar-(Rov. Bond),: the superintendent, andt teachers,; were untiring in their efforts fdr the welfare of till, nnd woro most ably assisted,"by b6th Mr. and Mrs. Davis, who aro. ideal and attentive hosts. .Their many guests were corry. that. train timo came apparently too soon,'their-enjoyment being so keen, and their surroundings so pleasant. The Wesleyan Sunday School, of KaK warra, held their annual picnic at Maidstono Park •on Saturday, and enjoyed themselves .thoroughly,, under tho kind caro of their teachers' rind .friends.-
