Tho City Coroner (Dr. A. M'Arthur, S.M.)- held air inquest'at the.'morgue yesterday morning' concerning - tho death. Station-Sergeant Darby represented tho police.' Currio man- . aged to freo himself and camo to the surface, but M'Kenzio sank. Currio located tho body, but was unablo tc ralso it to tho surface. Wanganul, February 10. , William Harridano Holdcn, grocer's assistant, a singlo man aged 41, was found dead in his father's shop this morning, with an empty bottle,. which had contained lysol, besido him. . FOUND SHOT. Auckland, February 10. ' Charles G. Knox, acommission agent, was found lying on tho floor of his offico in Hob'son Buildings. 'His head was on a cushion, and a revolver was lying alongsido him. A bullet had passed through tho top of tho head. The injured man was removed to tho hospital in an unconscious condition, and ho died this evening. Deceased was tho son of a pioneer sottlor of Hamilton district, a'nd was well known -in/Auckland as an athlete and footballer in'his ybu'ng days. 'Ho was unmarried. A milkman named John Rcid, nineteen years of age, single, residing at 248 Taranaki Street, fell on a glass bottlo yesterday, and badly cut ono of hishands, tho tendons of two lingers being severed.
