The following promotions and changes have been mado in the Post and Telegraph Department:— Mr. H. Logie, chief postmaster, Westport, to bo chief postmaster, Thames, in placo of Mr. Nicholls,'retired. Mr. ,F. ll.' Dodd, acting-postmaster, Hastings, to bo chief postmaster, Westport. ''•'■ Mr. C. Hill, postmaster, Hawera, to bo chief postmnster, Oamaru, in place of Mr. Beswick, retired. Mr. P. P. White, postmaster, Marton, to be postmnster Hawera. Mr. T. Ward, postmaster, To Aro, to be postmaster, Marton. Mr. S. Ayling,-senior money-order and savings-bank clerk, Palmcrston North, to bo senior clerk, Pnlmerston North. Mr. Avling will bo replnccd by promolion of Mr. C. G. Rogers, of Timaru. Mr. E. Dollimore, postmaster, Lyoll, to bo postmaster, Pleasant Point. Mr. 11. G. Clifford, telegraphist, Gore, to bo postmaster, Mercer.
