NEW LICENSING ACT. By Teleerapn-Press Assoclatlon-copyrlcftt Perth, February 6. The Parliamentary session has ended. Parliament expires in September, and will probably be dissolved earlier. Mr. Quinlan, Speaker of tho Legislative Assembly, intends to Tetire from public life.
The Licensing Bill was passed. It provides for local option, with % timelimit in place of compensation.
Tho Criminal Code was amended to make the flogging of anyone over sixteen convicted of criminal assault on young girls compulsory.
Tho Public Works Act passed. Works authorised include thirteen new railways in agricultural districts.
