Mr. Edwards, a member of tho Federal House for North Sydney, and a man named Graham were overhauling an acetylene plant at Mr. Edwards's residence when an explosion occurred and both wero killed instantly. They wero terribly injured.

■ Tho forco of tho explosion blow the bodies a distance of several yards and wrecked, tho shed. Mr. Edwards was apparently standing over tho tank watching the repairs. His death is a severe loss to the Federal Opposition as ho was one of its most prominent and strongest members.
