Speaking at Ih-j dinner of tho Australian Natives' Assucialian the Federal Prime Minirier (Mr. Fisher) said it was tho Government's intention to build not only small boats for the .Navy of Australia, but tome larger vessels also. There had been some, criticism on the proposed visit of members of the Federal Parliament to the Coronation, but it must bo remembered, said the Prime Minister, that tho linperinl Conference was also being held, and it was desirable that Australian representatives should be •present at a gathering which l would-deal with matters so important to the nation.
I Regarding legislation, Mr. Fisher said the Federal Government had no intention of resting on its laurels. The Constitution. Mr. J. Murray, Premier of Victoria, referring to the referenda, said tho Constitution was being attacked in a way that was not for the welfare of Australia. They did not want the government of millions of people concentrated in onebody; they wanted to see legislation required by the various- units of the Commonwealth made by those best able to perform it.
