——♦ 'AN INCIDENT AT THE PRIME MINISTER'S MEETING. (By Telccraph.—Press Association.! Pukckohe, January 31. The Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) met an unexpected interjection at Pukekoho this evening. "What," ho asked, ■' did they call us?" "Fishmongers," came a Voice from the back of the hall, amid laughter. "That," replied Sir Joseph, "is a calling that no man ought to be ashamoi! of. (Applause.) -Them is nothing derogatory, in being a fishmonger. (Applause.) Ihero is something derogatory in attempting to use a term of that sort offensively simply because a man haimeus to bo in public life."
