.1 ' SALES AND QUANTITIES. '' ■ : The.'close'of-the''wool sale season is not si very far' off now.; on. March 7, at Dunedin, the last sale of this season's . series.', will be,, held.;. Wellington's next , wool. sale is". sst. down -for February'' 7. ■ The quantity of \Vool which has been sent out of.the Dominion this season has not yet been estimated, and therefore figures are not available. For the sale in Wellington next week 11,000 bales have been catalogued. This is not a record quantity, and. is not as. large as the corresponding sale losti year, to which 19,000 bilks were forwarded.
.. .It is not easy yet to prophesy respecting.' the prices, for much may happen between now and tho.snle, but from what has. been gathered there should be satisfying 'returns" to growers. Wellington .brohers have been asked if they think 'there is likeliKood of a fall, and answer
"No." They .will not venture just yet to predict'the quotations, but.they are hopeful, V .-After thesale next week tliere_ will only l;e 1 one' other in Wellington this season, and the date, of that is March 3. From the Wellington sale ill February the buyers will go on to Napier, where there'is a-, sale (>n'. February 10.
