The' Hon. Mr. Mackenzie (Minister for Agriculture) explained to a reporter that, .owing to certain circumstances which, perhaps, could not be further alluded to,.the Canterbury estimates had of liecessitv to be baser! uiion those of last year. It was hoped, however, to get out a fresh estimate at a later date.
