The Pacific Coast Steamship Company's steamer Cottago City (1885 tons gross, built in 1890), while bound from Seattle to Skagway, grounded at Cape Mudge, in British Columbia;, in a blinding snowstorm. The passengers escaped in the boats before the vessel sank, and were landed at tho lighthouse. On© boatload is missing, and it is feared that it has met with disaster. •
