Two hundred deaths from plague are occurring daily at Funchiansbou and 300 at Harbin. China lias addressed a circular to tho Powers asking them to send experts to investigate the plague outbreak. China will defray the expenses, including travelling and maintenance expenses. - 'hie scourge is not rat-borne, but appears to bo due to contact with plagueinfected carcasses, and may also have been carried by bears. The occurrence of tho outbreak in cold weather in places where plague has been hitherto unknown is' causing apprehension.
