At"' Addineton live stock market there were good entries of stock and a larce attendance: rat cattle were m improved demand, including competition from tl>e Morth Island, and priccs showed a marked rise. Store lambs, which formed tho bulk of the entry ,of store sheen, were down 6(1 to Is. 6d. per head. Fat lambs were rather firmer, and-fat cheep sold well. Uacon pips were somewhat easier, but porkers wcro a- littlo firmer. -Dairy , cows were in demand, but store • cattle were dull, of sale. . v , ' There was a larger entry of store sheep than last week, the good demand of late for store lambs, resulting ma largely • mcrea&ed offering, and the' bulk of them were of good quality. The in the price of fat lambs last week no doubt showed farmers that they were buying store lambs on too a basis, and consequently tho priccs paid lact week were not maintained.
