THE HALF-YEARLY MEETING.' . ' The'hah'-yearly meeting of the St. Aloysius branch of the H.A.C.B.S. was hold last evening in St. Anne's Hall, Nev'town, Bro. W. J. O'Meara presiding. There was a large attendance of members, and tho election of officers was a feature of tho evening. It was reported that the total receipts for the year ending December, 1510, amounted to " £183 Ts.°Bd., and the expenditure reached .£155 15s. 4d. Of tlie latter- amount the lodgo doctors had received ,£43 7s. 9d., and the sick members .£49 Os. 10d. The officers for- the ensuing half year are as follow:—President, Sir. C. J. M'Erlean; v : ce-president, Mr. T. Pender; secretary. Mr. W. H. Giles; treasurer, Mr. J. Stratford; .warden, Mr. I'. J. Twoomey; guardian, Mr. W.-Little; sick visitors, Messrs. T. Pender and C. J. M'Erlean; delegate to. dispensary, Mr. W. H. Giles. A pleasant innovation was the presence of some forty members of the ladies' branch of the Hibernian Society. After the lodge business, had been disposed of, the proceedings took a social turn, the following giving items:—Misses Griffin, M'Laughlin, and M'Kay. Messrs. E. Fcote, 0. Foote, C. M'Erlean, P. M'Carthy, and J. Connolly. Tho accompaniments were played by Misses' U. Simon and M. Garth.
