A FURTHER APPOINTMENT. Cabinet decided yesterday that Mr. Justice Sim, President of tho Arbitration Court,,- should be formally appointed a Supreme Court under, and on the conditions of, Section 5 of the Industrial, Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1910. This means-that Judge Sim will have the double status of a Supreme Court judge and President of the Arbitration Court, biit the Arbitration Court work will take priority over the Supreme Court work. For some time past Judge Sim has been acting as a Supremo Court judge under a temporary appointment. He will now have his time fully taken up with Arbitration Court and Supreme Court work.
