l A Wellington Wedding. , t A very pretty, wedding took place at' < St. Mark's' Church, Sussex Square, last Wednesday, tho' officiating clergyman being the Rev, A..M. Johnson, M.A. Tho -. parties were Mr. Wm. Francis Smith, son of Mr. Francis Smith, of Lerwick, Shet-. land, and -Miss Ethel Aloretta, eldest ■ daughter of Mr. J. C. Hughes, of Christchurch. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome dress of ivory satin, with niuon drapery, the corsage bodice and sleeves being of over-laco and ninon, and fastened with a cluster of orange blossoms. 'She carried a shower bouquet. Tho'bridesmaids, Misses Ivie : Hughes, arttl E. D. Fisher Bell were prot- ' tily dressed in vioux rose silk and eolienne : ■ trimmed-with Oriental embroidery. Theywore large hats of black and vieux rose, knotted tulle, and roses, and carried bou- 1 quets of autumn-tinted leaves, roses,, and sweet peas. The bridegroom's present to 1 the bride was - a handsomo _ £old and ■ cameo-bracelet, and, to .the.bridesmaids, gold bangles. The bride's present to tho bridegroom was a gold signet-ring. Mr. W. T. Jones, russet green cloth costume, and black toque; Mrs.-G. T. Bell, black chiffon taffeta, trimmed with jet, and black and pink toque; Mrs; Tait, brown voile and black ;lint; Mrs.'Colvin, black silk;. Miss Candy, pale green costume'and white, hat; Miss 'G. L.s Bell, heliotrope eolienue, Oriental ehiM'oidery, and black hat with jot ornaments anil plumes. Other guests present were the Misses Boot (3), Burgess, Tait, Rogers, Robson, Crnickshnnks, the Rev.. A. M. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hicks, Mr. and Mrs. W. Tait. Mr. and Mrs. Hicks, Messrs. G. T. Bell, G. W. S. Bell, W. 8., Fisher, li. Burgess, C. Burgess, A. Burgess, and J. Smith. After tho-reception Mr. and Mrs. Smith left for the north. The bride's travelling dress was a haw blue tailor-made costume and , a black, aiid whito hat with plumes. Wedding" at St. Paul's. Yesterday "afternoon,, at St. Paul's ProCathedral, Miss G. Rogers, youngest. ■ daughter of Captain aiid Mrs. Rogers, of. Wellington, was married to Mr., Charles ■Harrison, of Hobart. . The bride, who, was given away "by her father, ivoro a. lovely gown of ivory charmeuse, trimmed .with guipuVo lace and folds cf satin.. Her tulle veil was worn over a' coronet; of .orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of. bridal roses, and inaiden-hair fern. Her bridesmaids were her sister, Miss Elsie Miss. Amy Webb, who woro .frocks of white muslin, inserted with valencienfies lace, and hats of whito straw trimmed! with muslin and lace bows, and carried bouquets of pink sweet peas and asparagus fern'. . Their. presents from the bridegroom were a gold brooch.and gold, banglo respectively. Mr. D. Johnston was best . man, and 'Mr. S. Rogers (brother of the bride) was groomsman. As the bridal party left the church, Mr. D. Kenny played the Weddiiig. March. A reception ivas held after the ceremony at the homo of the bride's parents,, Rosina Terrace. Mrs. Rogers wore a gown o; pale grey voile and a black picture hat. The bride's travelling-dress was of a mauvo' striped coat and skirt, worn with a black hat, trimmed with brown roses. Among 'the guests were Mrs. (Captain) Parsons, Mrs. Lynch, Mrs. Penrice, Mrs. Marsden,' Mrs. Struthers, Miss Webb, Miss D'Emden, etc. .Wedding at St. Mark's. , A-quiet Wedding took place at St. Mark's Church yesterday morning, when' Miss Yida Thomson Stuart was married to Mr. Arthur Bradshaw. The bride was given away by her hrother, Mr. C. R. Stuart. ' Mr. Robert .-Mason was best man. Only the close personal'friends of the bride and bridegroom were present., Feilding Notes. Fcilding has been exceptionally quiet during the holidays, so many people being away from town. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Atkinson and family'are visiting Day's Bay,' Wellington. 'Mr., and Mrs. Evans aro staying at Christcluirch. A largo . number •of Feilding people' drove and riiotored to the Bulls races. Anion? these being Mr. and Mrs. Halliday, Mr. and Mrs. Cotterell, Mr. and -.Mrs. Fitzherbert, Mr. and Mrs. Furnett,, Mr. and Mrs. Bailey, Misses Prioi, Campion, Bruce, and Bailey. The engagement is announted of Miss Elsio; Ashbolt, youngest daughter of Mr. A. Ashbolt, of this city, to Mr. D. Scott, of Kempthorne Prosser and Co., Wellington. The wedding of Miss S. Vnn Stavercn to Ml-. Israel takes place at the Synagogue to-morrow afternoon. Mrs. Christie, who wont, to England last, year to visit her parents, Sir William and Lady Hall-Jones, intends lo remain until alter the Coronation': Mrs. Chatfield has gono to visit .her sister, Mrs. Hadfield. . Mr...and.Mrs.. La Trobe have .returned, to, Wellington. Mrs. H. D. Bell and the Misses Bell aro among those \v;ho intend to go Home this year..
