—« The Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), Lady Ward, Miss "Ward, and Mr. Jas. Hisloi> (private secretary) will leave New Zealand at the beginning of March in order to reach London in ample time for tho Coronation. They will take their departure about March 3, in order to join the Makura for Vancouver. The Hon. Dr. Findlay, Attorney-Gen-eral, intends leaving for London about March 3. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Findlay and his private secretary, Mr. E. X. (;. Poulton, and cxpects to be absent for about iivo months. The party will travel by the Makura. The Hon. G. Fowlds, Minister .for Education, who is now in Sydney on his way home from South Africa, will this week visit the .Tenolan Caves, and will sail for New Zealand on Saturday. Commander Blunt, who is in command of H.M.S. Pioneer, naval drill ship for New Zealand, is about to he relieved by Commander Philip J. ' Stopford. ' Commander Blunt s term of service on the Australasian station expires this month. The Pioneer left for Sydney last evening. Mr. Halley, Conciliation Commissioner, is at present dn a visit to Napier. He is due back in Wellington on Thursday. Mr. William Brown (of Messrs. Laery-' aad Co.), who has been touring England and the Continent with Mrs. and Miss Brown, is expected to return to Wellington by the Manuka to-morrow. • Mr. J. B. Thomson, late organising secretary of the New Zealand section of the Theosophical Society, is visiting Wellington. The new organiser, Mr. C. W. Christie is expected from Adyar, India, in April. Mr. C. H. Chapman, who was a Labour candidate for Wellington South at the last general election, and has also stood for the City Council, will leave for England next Friday. He will lecture in Great Britain in the Labour interest. There was a fair gathering of old settlers at the funeral of the late Mr. William Waugh, who was killed at Palnierston North on Friday last by a fall from his horse. The service was conducted by Ret. William M'Cullough, who is relieving the Rev. Doull at St. Andrew's, Palmerston North. At the inquest regarding llr. Waugh's death a verdict was returned that death was due to injuries to the head caused by a fall from a horse.—. Press Association. • Mr. P.
