The greens .were for the. most part in -excellent order, but the day was robbed of much of its usual interest by tho •fact that regular inter-club competitions had : been postponed, a large number of bowlers having gone to Auckland for the •tournnmejit of tho Northern BoVling Association. The Auckland Provincial Bowling' Association's. pairs. championship- final was played yesterday, and .resulted in a win for the Onehunga pair, Mackay and M'lntnsli (s.). The Northern Bowling Association's tournament will open hero to-morrow, and the visiting bowlers are now all here] and the arrangements for play have been completed. The weather seems set and promises a continuation of the late period of filie days.
