——t — This abundantly laughter-equipped musical farce will be offered by Sir. J. C. Williamson's ' Comic Opera Company on Monday next. "A Ivnight for a Day" is described as a musical-farce extravaganza. I'hrough the piece runs the lov« story of a romantic Corsicsn (Mr. Herbert Clayton) for a fair American (Misa Olive Godwin). In the part of Tilly Day,' the romantic maid oi all work, Miss Lottie Sargent, has, it is said, the great opportunity of the season. Mr. Bcrfc Gilbert, the chief fnil-maker, amongst the male members of the cast, is said tc invest the part of Jeremy Joy with a wealth of that inconsequential humour with which he is so amply possessed. The plot is whimsical, but it "is claimed Hint the fun,, utterly absurd situations, wit of ' the ditlogue, and beautiful dance creations, are . powerful factors in tlie success of the play which is fashioned principally for healthy amus«jeilt. For the last threo nights of the season "Tha Merry Widow" will be presented with a particularly fine cast, including Messrs. Frank Greene, lieginald Roberts, \V. S. Percy, Victor Prince, Charles ■ Albert, and Bert Gilbert.
