ABUSE OF hospitality; . PRESS COMMENT. London, January 4. "Tho Times" states: "It is to bo hoped there are not many such desperadoes in tho East of London, nor is it very likely that thero•are." Other newspapers express the public's widespread stupefaction and indignation of tho ab'uso of BMtish hospitality, and demand rigid supervision of aliens. Tho "Daily.News" protests against "any possiblo attempt to identify East End aliens as a class with desperadoes, such as this gang, who are a problem by themselves. What is needed notoriously efficient police as a deterrent to their landing, and the continuation of the Government policy of expelling criminal aliens."
"The Timos" says that tho fact of a detachment of the Scots Guards sweeping tho streets with bfillets becauso two anarchists wero firing pistols from a housed from which it was impossible for them to escape i needs more explanation than has yet been forthcoming.
