BATTLE AT STEPNEY.

It is now definitely announced by tho police that only two bodies were found by tho polico in the ruins of tho houso in Sidney Street, Stepney, where yesterday's battle between the polico and military and tho Anarchists wanted for tho Houndsditch outrage took place. One of the wanted men, "Peter tho fainter," is still uncaptured. Owing to the fragmentary nature of the remains thero was some uncertainty as to tho number of bodies represented by | them,- and previous Teports stated that j "Peter the Painter," as well as tho other : I man wanted, "Fritz," and a man named I Jacobs had been burned to death. There lis definite evidence that the Anarchists .fired the house. The polico believe that 'TeteT tho Painter" and Fritz did not reside together, but kept in. close communication. by moans of women, including Bessie Gorshon, in whose room in Sidney Street the polico discovered Fritz and Peter. Bessio was arrested prior to the attack. The "Daily Telegraph" says an English girl was lured to the houso by a couplo of foreigners and ill-treated. Information was subsequently given to the police,, and the men wero identified as Fritz and Peter, tho third man. being named Kozen. This led to the raid. Among, the ruins two large automatic pistols were found. Sixteen police, troops, civilians, and firemen aro being treated for injuries caused by falling debris. Tho newspapers recall the similarity between the • present sensation and tho Cnto Street conspiracy of February 23, 1320.
