Wedding at Pahfatua. Motor-ears were very much in evidenco nt Pahiatua yesterday (says our local correspondent), and the town teemed to bp en fete, the occasion being ths marriage of Miss Muriel Kdith flindmareh Bolton, third daughter of Major Bolton, Oetc," Kohinui, to Mr. Harold Richmond AVardell ■ Beetham, second son of Mr, Norman Becthani, • of. Lansdowne, Masterton. St. Peter's Cluireh, where the ceremony took place, was ' packed, • and great interest was manifested in the wedding, Tho day was gloriously fine. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a very pretty gown bf cream -atin charmcuso, with train skirt, beautiful lnco veil, and dainty. necklet, with diamond pendant—the. gift -of .the- bridegroom— whuo' she carried. a. shower bouquet of white carnations..'rind lilies. She way attended by five bridesmaids—two little girls, who carried shepherds' crooks ornamented with ribbon streamer, and heliotrope sweet peas, and also by • Miss andMiss L. Bolton (sisters of tho bride), and Miss Mcars ; of Christchureh,' who wore heliotrope silk gowns handsoinelj' trimmed with cream lace, and large black hats with sweet peas arid crimson roses. Tho bridegroom's presents were: Gold necklets, with emerald pendants to Miss Bolton and 'Miss Mears, while Miss. L. Bolton was the. recipient of a handsome dress ring. Mr.'. Druce, of Knmeroa, wasbest 'maii, and the two groomsmen were Mr. Trevor Beetham. (brother) and Mr. Orengarde Beetham, cousin of the bridegroom. Tho. service was choral, and Miss Burgess presided at the organ. The ccrcmony was performed by tho Rev. R\ Hermon, of St.- Mark's, Mangalainoka, assisted by Canon Ecclesf, of Woodville, and the Rev. C. H. Isaacson, of Pahiatua. •A reception was' afterwards held at tho residence of the bride's, parents, whoro a largo number of guests who had assembled on tho' lawn wero entertained, and tho customary speeches were made. Tho bride, who, was attended by Miss Akers of Palinerston. was dresseil in whito chiffon taffeta with a veil of Irish old lace, and wreath of real orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful bridal bouquet. Mr. C. Grut supported tho groom as best man. Sir. and Mrs. Prior afterwards left for the seaside. They will reside in Palmerston North.
