The Hon. Dr. Fiudlay, Attorney-Gen-oral, returned to town last evening after a northern tour, in the course of which he visited the new prison farm at'Tokonui. His Honour Mr. Justice Cooper will leave for Auckland to-morrow or Friday. Mr. W. A. Hawkins, Registrar of the Supreme Court, Christchurch, -' is on a visit to .Wellington. Mr. Hawkins was formerly Deputy Registrar in the Supreme Court here. Dr. Henry, accompanied by Mrs. Henry, Miss Henry, Mr. W.. M. Henry, and Mr. J. C. Farquh'ar, left by' the Mapourika for Greymouth at noon yesterday. According 'to Dr.' Henry's itinerary they will be leaving very shortly for Queensland. Mr. H. N. Holmes, General Secretary of the local Y.M.C.A., left on Monday night by the Maori and will be away for several weeks in the Milford Sound district on holiday. Mr. Norman Lindsay., the artist who left Australia in October last year to try and make arrangements for the publication of "Casanova and Patronius," is . returning to Sydney by the R.M.S. Osterlcy. . Mr.'James Cornish, aged 84, an old West Coaster, formerly billiard-marker at Gilmer's Hotel, Greymouth, died on Monday, states a Press-Association telegram. • ■ I ■
