Princo Lack. Merei, and Didus made, the first running. At the mils Exsul and Mil had charge, and on entering tho straight Mil was still, leading from Lady liuenalf and By-Play. At the distance the field closed up, but By-Play, coining away, won by a length and a half. Time, 2min. 361 sec. PERTH E AIL WAT STAKES. (Eec. January 2, 0.5 p.m.) Perth, January 2. The Railway Stakes resulted as follows:— Artesiai?, 1; Renegade, 2; Path, 3. There were 15 starters, and a great finish, heads only separating the placed horses. Time, 2min. S 2-ssec. BAGOT HANDICAP, (Rec. January 2, 9.5 p.m.) , Melbourne,' January 2. The Bagot Handicap resulted as follows:—lliad, 1; Prizefighter, 2;. Boilin, 3. There were ten starters. Thistlebrook led from the start into tho straight, where Iliad and Prizefighter shot out. Iliad won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 2min. 35 3-ssec.
