In the 1909 period; the quantity t'otallci 654S ions; in the last live-mourns'it wa: S(ICS tons. The decrease amounts to 16SI tons. The decrease was faicly great, and onl; two ports showed" increases, and the fig ures there were -very small. Wa uganui increased from 181 tons to 244 tons and Blenheim from 31 tons, to fil tons. The greatest decreases -were at 1 Christ church, Wellington, and Auckland. Wellington, which sends away the biggesl quantities of tallow, fell from 1752 tons to 1210 tons. Christchurch's export di'op ped from 1319 tons to' 535 tons, and Auckland's from 957 tons to 653 tons. The complete list as compiled by Messrs, Dalgety and Co., and furnisbcil to Ttti Dominion, is as follows:—lnvercargill, 1910 period, 500 tons (19U9 period, l>7v tons); Dunedin, 329 (414)j Oamaru, 2c (51); Timr.ru, 417 (461); Christclntrcli, £35 (1319); Blenheim, 61 (34); Wellington, 1210 (1752); Wanganui, 214 (184); Waitara, 122 (172); Napier, 503 (520); Gisborne, 166,(406); Auckland, 653 (957); total, 5068 (6948). . The total exported last month was 704 tons. The biggest quantity went from Wellington—292 tons. Napier sent away 155 tons and Invercargill 133 tons. The November figures for all ports are: Invercargill, 133 tons; Dunedin,' 34; Timaru, 15; Christchurch, 39; Wellington, 292; Napier, 155; Gisborne, 23; Auckland, 73; total, 764 tons.
