EIGHT SUICIDES IN ONE DAY.
EPIDEMIC AT NAPLES, A STRANGE LIST. (Eec. December 2G, 9.15 p.m.) Rome, December 25. Eight suicides in oue day are reported from Naples. A cavalry officer blew out bis brains. A youth committed suicido after attempting to shoot with a. revolver a girl who had jilted him. Three girls swallowed poison. A student failed in his examination and suffocated himself with gas. A 'sculptor put an end to his life by drinking corrosive acid. Finally a railway mnn quarrelled tritli his wife; and threw himself, in front of an express.
