FORGETS TWO ENGINES. (Rec. December 27,-0.15 a.m.) London, December 26. Sutton, a Midland railway signalman, who has worked in the service for 21 years, admits that he transferred two ongine's from a branch to the' main lino in order'to. deal with seven engines returning south. .;"..' '•.; . Sutton then forgot the.two engines, which ho was unable 'b see' Wing' to a rainstorm. He signalled to the express that the line was.clear, .and the three drivers presumed the signal referred' to themselves. The identification of the dead is proceeding by their non-arrival at their destinations.
