A small fire occurred -among somo cases at tho :Terminus I-{otel at half-past six o'clock yester- • day morning, caused by water-flowing on to. somo unslaked lime. .Tho.Firo ; Brigacte was .called out, and .the. fire was extinguished before any serious damago. had been ; dono. Tho .building is owned by Staples and Company, and is insuved in tho Commercial Union office for £3400 and in tho Atlas ofnee'for £1600. The contents of tho "cellar aro covered by a. policy in 'tho Northern office for £215 and bne in the Ocean office for £390.
