ASSASSINS IDENTIFIED. PUBLIC FUNERAL TO THE POLICE VICTIMS. RUSSIAN TERRORIST GANG. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. London, December. 19. King George sent a message of condolence to the relatives, of the policemen who were killed by the Houndsditch burglars. ' . ■ Tho three policemen will bo given a public, funeral, with a service at St. Paul's Cathedral, on Thursday. The Lord Mayor will attend. Detectives are searching the house in Grove .Street which had been occupied by the burglars. They forced the locked doors, and found a dummy in a bed. It is believed this was a ruse to secure time for the murderers, who escaped immediately before. IDENTITY OF THE ASSASSINS. APPALLING "WOUNDS. (Rec. December 20, 9'15 p.m.) London, December 20. The identity of the Houndsditch assassins has been established.- They are all Russians. .One=of the arresting oonstables received appalling pounds in the dorsal region of the ribs and thighs., Thirty armed detectives are searching Eastern London. Dr. Bernstein, who made an autopsy on Goldstein, the supposed .burglar . who afterwards died from a gunshot wound at Whitechapel, states that tho bullet in his body is. similar to; that extracted' from the body of the policeman. Goldstein was a Lithuanian, and wore Russian-made clothes. He had probably been in England only a few weeks, and must- have belonged to a gang of terrorists, 'not the 'ordinary East End ruffians. ' ' Tho inquest has been opened. It was stated in the evidence that Goldstein told the doctor attending him that he had been shot in mistake by , a friend.
