■ DAIRY PIIODUCE GRADER. A little while ago the Minister for Agriculture refused to ■aceodo to a strong request from IVahgatiai tliat a dairy produce 'grader should he stationed at the port; of Wanganui. protestations and further requests followed the. refusal. The "Wangan'ui "Herald" now states : It is'gratifying to know that the Minister for Agriculture . has recog-' nised tho justice of AVanganui's claim to-have a dairy produco. grader stationed here. The secretary of the Chamber -of Conimerco received a wire stating that it had been decided to , appoint a grader at AVangajiui, but that, at the present time, no one was available to fill the position. The Minister has, .however, given instructions to havo a grader trained' ready ,to take up duties next, season. When ho arrives he will find plenty of w<3rk to his hand,' for, according to definito figures received here, the. various: factories interested will shin at least 60,000 boxes, of butter through Wanganui, and in view of - the great, strides the. industry is making' in this district,, a' very few figures will probably see, that figure doubled.
