The Governor's motor trip from den to Wangarrui was not unaccompanied by "incidents" by- the way, tho result being a delay of three-quarters of an hour in his arrival at'Wanganui. I'irst tho car (which was his Excellency's own) encountered a wool .wagon, which monopolised all tho road, and, in endeavouring to avoid it; a tire was punctured. When, this ;delay had been remedied, 'the car encountered a trap, m which a horso driven with a' very loose rein, took fright, and bolted' incontinently,. the horso, driver, and all turning a somersault in honour of: tho Governor. •• . .' ■■■•-,
