The winds have changed to westerly and southerly to-day in most parts of the'eountry. Showery weather has been experienced in many parts,. particularly of the South teiana. The barometer has risen in the far south, but little movement has been recorded elsewhere. . Present indication; arc for strong, south-easterly winds over the South Island, and for westerly ancT south-westerly 'winds, strong to "gale, m the North Island.
